The root of the issue? Following Blachowicz's fight against Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 282 in December 2022, which ended in a rare split draw, Rogan's post-fight comments stirred controversy. The color commentator, known for his candid commentary, told Blachowicz that he believed the ex-champ had lost.
Blachowicz, now facing Guskov at UFC 323, will be looking for his first win in over three years. His last victory came in 2022 when his opponent suffered an injury. Since then, he's faced consecutive losses against Alex Pereira and Carlos Ulberg, following the controversial draw with Ankalaev.
Blachowicz expressed his frustration, recalling Rogan's words, "Joe Rogan, when he stepped into the Octagon, he said for him I lost the fight.” He felt that Rogan's comment was a mistake, as it made him believe he had been robbed of victory. After rewatching the fight, Blachowicz concluded a draw was fair.

Blachowicz felt that Rogan's comments were unfair, especially since many people who watched only the last round of the fight might have a different perspective. After the fight, Blachowicz was told by people from different teams not to say he lost, as the draw was a fair result.
