Bold headline: Faye Tozer takes on three roles in Mean Girls musical tour.
Steps star Faye Tozer is stepping into a multi-character challenge as she joins the Mean Girls: The Musical tour for part of its run. The singer and actress, who is 50, will perform in the stage adaptation of the popular film Mean Girls, which originally featured Lindsay Lohan, as it launches its first UK and Republic of Ireland tour next year.
Tozer will portray the mothers of the two central heroines: the outsider Cady Heron (portrayed by Emily Lane) and the queen bee Regina George (played by Vivian Panka), in addition to taking on the role of Ms Norbury, the high school maths teacher.
Wolverhampton Grand Theatre announced that Tozer will join the cast for the engagement at their venue, with performances starting on 23 June. Her tour will extend to 18 other venues, including stops in Manchester, Canterbury, and Blackpool.
The roles of Gretchen and Karen will be brought to life by Kiara Dario and Sophie Pourret, respectively.
Prior to this tour, Tozer has been seen on the West End stage in Dita Von Teese and Tosca Rivola’s Diamonds And Dust, where she portrayed Miss Kitty LeRoy.
Tozer rose to fame with the pop group Steps, known for hits such as Tragedy and 5, 6, 7, 8.
